The Medcom metal shelf system is incredibly versatile. With over 6000 items in our price list, they can be configured for virtually any type of goods and circumstances. From very unique and rare goods, to complicated broad arrays of products, there is really no limit to the designs that can be achieved. Whether in large or small venues, the perfect solution for marketing food and retail products can be achieved in complimentary or contrasting configurations.

HIGH LOAD CAPACITY AND FREE STANDING

Our metal shelf systems offer a huge load capacity ranging from 120 — 230 kilograms per linear meter for metal shelves. Glass and wood shelves can offer high load capacities as well with the addition of attractive, special traverses mounted between shelf holders. In addition to these high rated capacities, in practical applications our customers display loads such as washing machines stacked 2 high, heavy carpets, linens and other heavy goods both on wall mounted and free standing units. Some of the versatile options available in this system include various shelf depths with different loading capacities as well as a large catalogue of shelf holders and accessories which offer many design possibilities including load capacity, shelf position and angle. For the food sector we offer our "minirack" system which incorporates a front upright, resulting in an extra high load capacity.

LARGE DIMENSIONAL VARIABLILITY

This system offers many dimension options. Uprights come in standard heights of less than 1 meter to 3.29 meters. There are also available components to extend uprights for very large heights or for upgrades to existing layouts. Shelves come in depths from 20 cm to 80 cm. Module widths are 50cm, 66.5cm, 75cm, 100cm and 133cm.

TOOLLESS ASSEMBLY

The entire metal shelf system can be assembled and disassembled without tools with the exception of attaching uprights to the wall. Wood shelves are also attached to brackets without screws.

PLASTIC COATING IS STANDARD

All components are plastic coated for high durability and resistance to abrasion or compromise from flexing of metal parts such as back panels and shelves. Plastic coating is standard on our metal shelf systems where other manufacturers only offer plastic coating at extra cost.

SILVER ANODIZED AND PVC COMPONENTS

We produce many components and accessories in either PVC or silver anodized aluminium where other manufacturers only offer plastic. For instance shelf front profiles for price holders are available in PVC but also in attractive anodized aluminium at only a minimal increase in price.

VARIABILITY OF DESIGN

Our large system of basic components offer you many design options. There are many variables such as single, double or 4 sided uprights of steel or aluminium, and a large variety of different feet. Units can be free standing or wall mounted. Back panels can be metal, wood, glass, plexiglass and slatboard. In addition to metal, shelves can also be wood, glass, laminated and other materials. All these in many finishes and in an infinite number of colors. One interesting aspect of this system is the back panels overlap the uprights, slightly revealing only a narrow portion of the upright. All of these options can offer designs that will accommodate even the most exclusive luxury shops.

POWER AND LIGHTING

Medcom metal shelf systems incorporate quality electrical features. Shops with electrical goods will be well served by this system. Power and antenna leads can be installed in original guide rails and are counter sunk directly in back panels. Sockets are adjustable in height to compliment shelf heights. Lighting of glass, wood and metal shelves is accomplished with special tube lights hidden behind the shelf front pricing profiles. This solution provides cabling which is invisible to customers and is also complimentary to shelf height adjustments. Shelf lighting fixed to the upper part of the rack is available in many design variations.

PRICE SIGN MOUNTING

Our system for mounting price signs is very unique. The front portion of the shelves consists of rails (or profiles) which accept price signs. These are available in clear or colored PVC or in high quality aluminum at a minimal extra cost. We produce an attractive rounded profile or a very effective flat sloping version. Price signs of different sizes can be affixed with or without PVC covers and the profiles can be provided in various colors.

STANDARD CHROME PLATING ON FREQUENTLY MOVED COMPONENTS

We utilize chrome plated components standard, at all areas where there is friction from metal to metal such as brackets, dividers, hooks, etc. that are moved often. Due to our high volume production we can provide these quality features at very low cost. These components can also be provided in lacquered versions, but our chrome plated components are often less expensive than similar painted parts from other manufacturers.

CONTINUOUS SHOWCASE SYSTEM

Showcases for this system can be very long and continuous by utilizing the metal shelf frame and "endless" tracks for glass sliding doors with stops and locks. This design creates a very large interior to the showcase. The showcase is bounded only by the end panels with no interior obstructions. Shelving inside the showcase can be mounted at any height and can run continuous for very long, undivided spans.

PERFECT FIT FOR CLOTHES STORES

This system offers more clothing accessories than some other specialized clothing systems. Features such as hanging arms, U-shaped arms, gondolas with chrome plated uprights, special display stands, etc., make this is a perfect fit for clothing retailers.

GREAT SYSTEM FOR FOOD SECTOR

For the food sector we off a variety of special components to create racks for fruits, vegetables, meat, bread, etc. Stainless steel shelves are good for direct contact with unpackaged foods. We also carry specialized shelving such as our shelves for breads designed to catch crumbs beneath. Our "minirack" system offers continuous 1 piece shelving which is sanitary and easy to clean.

WOOD AND METAL SLATBOARD PANELS AND ACCESSORIES

Back panels are available of popular, varied wood and metal, all in various colors and decors. This system offers the option of utilizing the same accessories on both metal and wood slatboards.
